Cassandra is a very volatile, moody person. She prefers to think of herself as cheerful and even tempered, and much of the time this is true. However, when she is hurt, or frightened, she can get very mean as a defense.
She has a very self-assured, sassy personality that she uses as a shield to cover up her many insecurities.

Cassandra was born and raised in Adamsville. The offspring of a human father, and a shape-shifter mother. Her father was very wealthy, but rigid and narrow minded in his beliefs. Anything that resembled the occult, or 'the darkness' as her father put it, was to be considered evil, and shunned.
Unbeknown to him his wife, Cassandra's mother, was a shape-shifter. Cassandra never knew whether her mother married her father due to his wealth and influence, (perhaps she felt she would be safe from others who felt as he did, if she were his wife) or if she truly loved him. In any event, she guarded her secret, and as it turned out, Cassandra's, her entire married life.
Having been raised to feel that she was something evil and shameful that had to be hidden affected Cass in lots of detrimental ways. Although she had always been very beautiful, she never felt she was, and during her early teens had been very self-conscious.
During her late teens she began to develop a healthier self esteem based on skills she was developing, such as singing, writing, and her physical strength. Although she was very small, she was in excellent physical shape and worked hard to develop speed and agility as well as strength.
Both her parents died when she was 18, and she turned to her close friends, Fiona, and Mervin and Blaine for comfort and companionship. More and more they became their own 'family' and although there was friction between them at times, due to their very different personalities, any of the 4 would kill or die for the others.
